Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee?Job 22:21 … And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent?John 17:3
Jehovah and His son Jesus the Christ ought to be center of our life. Eliphaz was pro-bably using a simple conundrum: it pays to be religious. Job’s friends erroneously taught sickness, pain, and sorrow was the direct result of sin. According to them, the more one sinned the greater his suffering. Jesus says, necessary knowledge is not enough but its significance is a life of acquaintance, fellowship, an unending hourly practice to live the life of Christ. It is so when people see us: they see not us but him whom we reverently serve. Thus, even more we must we be devoted, consecrated and dedicated.
